What is your favorite pasta? And why?

I am passionate about pasta, all type and kinds. It is my favorite dish to cook and one of my favorites for ordering out. If you could give me the name of your favorite type of pasta and why it is, it would be great as I am always looking for new style to try.

well I like bow tie when it comes to pesto sauce or a good white sauce or pink sauce. It is too thick for me to eat on a regular basis. My husband loves the wagon wheels. They are his favorite. Not sure why, maybe a reminder of childhood. For rich sauces, I like the twisty ones. It holds the sauce well and the rigatoni holds it well too. My favorite everyday pasta is angel hair. I would love to find window pane pasta somewhere. I haven't been able to find it. It looks like it could be my favorite pasta if I could find it. It's in the William Sonoma cook book called PASTA with SAUCES. On page 20 you will see a recipe called window pane pasta with nasturtium butter. Speaking of William Sonoma.
