Work release information

My son is a first timer in ILDOC. He has a class X drug conviction, even though he has never had a violent crime on his record or an escape charge, he was denied work release. He is a model inmate, has adjusted very well to his situation, enrolled in class and is doing very well. He apparently has 60 days to write a letter for a review of this decision, is there anywhere else we can contact or womeone that I can contact to maybe help reverse this decision and start to get this young man back on his feet.
