Godfather - Part 1 the movie or the book ?

Which one do you prefer. I feel so far , Godfather is the only case where movie is better than the book.
Its a classic case of actors living in the characters.
What do you all feel ?

i think inpite of book always movie is the best.
because after reading the book may be u didnt feel the exact meaning sometimes the author want to teel. but after seeing the movie u can feel it better and in books all the things are imagination but in films they are real.
