Waking up in the morning

Sri Lanka

This is one of the most difficult things in my life. I set my alarm around 3.30 AM and get up only around 4.30 AM. Why is it difficult to get up in the morning? What about you?

Don't worry friend you are not alone with this kind of situation! LOL i always set alarm but most of the time my sister will be the one to wake me up and told me im running late! Its really hard to get up early in the morning. Like me no matter how late i go to bed i have to wake up at around 5:30 in the morning to get my eldest kid ready for school and then after that i will try my best to get a sleep for my work. Its really hard to get up in the morning. Happy mylotting!

I think there are a few sides to this. One) you are not getting enough sleep, that is whatever your body and mind need and Two) you are thinking too much about it and Three) its matter of practise. 3-30 is quite early and in order to discipline yourself to wake up at that wee hour you need to sleep at around 8.00 pm. But are you doing that?

I know. But why do you have to get that early? Do you have affairs that early as well?

Thank you very much for your advise. I can never sleep around 8.00PM. I have to spend lots of time on the road with all the traffic jams. Then many other home affairs. That's life. Anyway, appreciate your words!

Oh I know what you mean. I have been through that. If I have to wake up early I set my timer 1 or 1 1/2 hour earlier. I think it is difficult to wake up-up that early because the body clock is not used to to that early time on waking up

You get my point. What do you know about the body clock. In fact there is a clock inside our body. There is a nice name for it. I cannot remember.

Hi there shamikabsb! I normally set my alarm at around 5:45 AM and would actually jump out of my bed at around 6:00 AM. It is rather cold up here in our city so it's really best to stay in bed early in the morning. But since I need to go to work early, I do not really have any choice but to get up early.

same thing with me. when my alarm goes on, i tend to delay it for quite awhile and the next thing i know, i am sleeping way more than i expected. tendency is, i usually or rather most of the time am late for work. it has always been a problem to me. lol. i think because it is the time we get enough rest after a busy day at work.

I too delay the alarm. The sound of the alarm is the worst sound in my life. However, I go to work on time and sacrifice many other things on the way if I get up late.

i guess it depends.maybe you have a habbit saying"yeah i get up soon till the time is running.in my case my mind is tired but my body is active coz i need to. my little girl is going to kinder garten.its not diffficult if you make it habit.

You are correct. Making it a habbit is also a good way. Well, I just noticed that I found a solution today. For the alarm even though I could not get up in this morning, my 10 month old daughter got up and started crying. She didn't sleep there after and we had to put her into the go-cart and start working. I was compelled to get up within 10 minutes today LOL

It may seem to be difficult because of the less amount or lack of sleep. If you are getting less than 7 hours of sleep, you will find it difficult. I make sure that i get atleast 7 hours of sleep and hencce have no problem in waking up at 7:30 or so. It does depend on the weather too. If it's cold and raining outside then the tendency to get that extra sleepy.

Yes, if it is cold it is even more difficult. In my case it doesn't matter how much sleep I got be it 2 hours or 8 hours. Waking up is the problem.

Hi there Shamika! I think that's too early. Even I will definitely have a hard time waking up on that time. Well, it may depend upon what time I slept that night. If I slept too early, maybe there won't be any problem waking up even that early. I usually sleep at 10:00 PM and wake up at 6:00 AM without any problem at all.

Well, I am compelled to wake up at that time to attend to many home affairs before going to work. In my case no matter it is early in the morning or late in the morning, waking up is difficult.

Hi, I don't know what time you sleep; but for me to wake up at 3.30 am is simply impossible. I would only sleep at about 12 midnight or 1 am on weekdays, and 2-3 am on weekends. I have to get up at 6.15 each morning (working days), and I still find it hard to wake up! My only motivation to wake up, is - if I don't, I will be late, and will be caught in the terrible traffic jam. That would definitely wake me up!

Same here as for the reason to get up. The fear that I would get late to office is the last motive to wake me up. I sleep around 10.00 PM

Its really difficult to wake up in the morning especially when you sleep late at night. You must have 8 hours of sleep inorder for your body to recover from stress and for your body to be energize. If you sleep early then you will also wake up early. Our body clock needs 8 hours of sleep for you not to feel difficult to wake up in the morning.

Once I wake up I can continue the day. Yes, 8 hours is the ideal time. But I don't think many could get that previlage.
