I wouldn't go with silver, I love white gold. Platinum is really expensive, even though it's totally gorgeous. I have a mix of yellow gold and white gold, it's kind of swirled together....it's pretty. =] It's not just for the wedding day, it's what are you willing to look at for the rest of your life? Personal opinion is really what you have to go by. Good luck!!!

wedding rings - My wedding set
We wanted platinum, but we couldn't afford it, so we got white gold.

My husband and I both have both have platinum ring each for our engagement and wedding. We did not have a seperate ring. The one we wore for our engagement is the same as the one we use on our wedding day as well. My mum in law says platinum ring has no value, gold ring has more value. But I was thinking hey this is our wedding ring and we gonna wear it till we go to our grave. Never even come across our mind that we going to sell it........so ours is platinum ring.

my hubby & i chose white gold for our wedding ring. not the shiny one though, we chose matte. mine has a small princess cut diamond while my hubby's has none (since they said that it's advisable for the husband's ring to not have any precious stones since they usually come off). Don't choose silver, it's too cheap for a wedding ring. Gold is good enough. Platinum is expensive but it may last longer.

My fiance and i, doesn't have any choice about the wedding ring as his religion allows men to wear silver only for a jewelry. Of course i can't argue with that, but since maybe silver will not last long on me, i just asked him to make mine a white gold instead so the color of his silver wedding ring will somehow match with the white gold. Platinum would be nice but i heard you can not put precious stones on it because it is too soft. Choose a wedding ring that will suit your personality, that is my advice.

No silver. Silver is way too cheap for a wedding ring. If you like the color of silver though, go with white gold or platninum. It all depends on what you like though. I don't really like gold that much, but we ended up with it anyway, because we couldn't find white gold bands that we liked and couldn't afford the platinum at all. So someday we just may buy new ones in platinum to replace these.
