There's one line that I remember since I was in grade school from St. Augustine, "My life has been nothing, but in it I have seen everything.." I realized that it may have different meaning for every individual who may read it. In your case, how do you understand it?

i live in saint augustine....to me that quote is saying that in the big scheme of things are lives are so tiny. basically nothing. yet you experience so many things and see so much that it feels like you've had this big life when really it was just blip on the screen.

WOW! I've been thinking about that line since I was a kid but never thought about it like you did. But how it meant for you sounds like the way St. Augustine meant it to be..Thanks for your insight!
