what if one day you found a time machine where era do you want to go are you going to the future or from the past?and why do you want to go there?

i'd like to go to the past, back where my family were together again. the reason i say that i wanna go there is because of i used to like it when we were all together again. now it is a bunch of retarded rumors going on between each other. cousins wont talk to my other cousins, aunts wont talk to my aunts, grandma and uncles..... its like damn stop already.
