Hi Myloters, I been hurt so many times before and every time I get hurt I always cry. Sometimes I told myself I dont want to cry anymore but however I want to stop it the tears still keep running out of my eyes. Is it really true that when you cry it make you feel better and helps to remove the pain? Whe I get hurt and I cry I dont feel that when I cry I am reducing the pain. Seems like it just ad up actually. Why do you cry when you get hurt? For what purpose? Thanks for sharing Happy Myloting

like other responders I think it is just emotional reaction in your cas some people do not cry when they are hurt, because they don't have tears gland I don't know what to call it in English but they just can't cry not because they don't want to, also some people cry for other reasons aside from being hurt when I was young I cried all the time, hungry or full, falling or playing, so my parents did all they could to stop me from doing that because it's true sometimes I was injured and it was painful or I was scolded at so I cried - but other times I did it to avoid having to do something or merely jealous because my brothers got their attention and I didn't there is nothing wrong with crying when you get hurt, you didn't do it on purpose you are really hurt and it does make you feel better after bottled up feelings need to be freed it's only healthy to do that

I'm not sure about this but I think it's the body's way of removing all the bad effects of the hurt we've experienced. If we are hurt of course it also affects our body in more ways than we know and maybe to avoid even worse effects by the negative feelings maybe the body tries to find a way to balance it.

I cry over everything. If someone says something to hurt my feelings, I get this extremely sad feeling that comes over me. I keep thinking to myslef, how could they say that? Why would they say that? They feeling of hurt is so overwhelming, I just cry, I don't know what else to do. I cry when I'm scared, angry, hurt...I don't like to cry this much. I don't want to seem like a weak person. I know I'm not, but I just can't help it sometimes.

it is Emotional Reponse, it depends on the situation or how deep the hurt is.

Cry is to release tension and emotion. That's natural way, thus when really feel to cry, just cry. Not too long, cause is really tired after that. =)

Hello!! I feel the same as you. When I get hurt I can't control my tears, and it doesn't reduce my pain. I think it is because you are a very emotional person. There is nothing wrong with it, just hope that you can find people that can understand you. Have a nice day!!!

when i hurt then i cry lonely becoz i dont want to show any body that i am hurt becoz todays people are selfish if u r hurt then they give u simpathey and after they use u. crying is necessary for remove ur pain and to a new start if u not cary then u feel depress and after crying forget all old things which gives u tears..

Hi there, I don't cry easily, but when I'm in so much pain I do cry. I remember when my left ear get swollen because I push too deep when I'm cleaning it, I cried like a child. And I think yes when we cry it reduce the pain that we feel.

We cry when we get hurt (mentally) because that's our way our body deals with the pain. It's natural for us to want to cry and it's perfectly okay. It may not make you feel better at that second, but it does feel better a few hours later. Stopping the tears will definitely not make you feel any better. You have to cry to get all of those emotions out.
