I am going for my 6 week check up with my obgyn tomorrow after having my second child. I am very excited to go and for him to tell me that I can get back to normal things. Especially excercising. I have no clothes to wear because I have extra weight from the baby. I just wear sweats and pajamas all day.

Hi, from your post, I can see that you mean your six week check after having your baby, and you're not in actual fact six weeks pregnant! (Bet you're relieved about that - six weeks pregnant is a tiring and sickly time if I remember rightly!) Well congratulations on the birth of your baby! I hope you're managing to get some sleep. To be honest I wasn't that excited about my six week check, as I still felt far from normal (with stitches and rib dislocations - but that's another story, lol!) But it's great if you're feeling well, and I hope you get the all-clear to start exercising again. Don't worry too much about the extra weight though. There's all the time in the world to shift that. It's more important that you stay healthy and eat regular meals etc.. so that you have enough strength to look after your baby and your other child. Of course, it's nice to exercise if it's something you enjoy! It's just that I think that lots of new mums worry too much about the weight. It's the one time in our lives that we can feel good about having a bit of extra weight on us, so enjoy it!! (Sorry, I don't mean to tell you what to do! Enjoy your baby!)

I hope that everything goes well for you in childbirth. wish you luck. Pregnancy is a lovely time for mothers to build up a special bond with their baby.
