I do agree with MODSTAR's response: care must start from home. If children are nurtured and nourished especially in their young age, an they learn about love then they would be less likely to be subject to abuse. They would then instinctively stay away from things that would harm them and would harm their families indirectly. They would be less insecure about the superficial aspects of their personality and would gain confidence to keep them growing - they would love to learn and to grow and would therefore turn out better. Another thing I believe is important is that we have to become good examples to children. We should try to treat them as respectable individuals and not as stupid little critters that don't know anything about the world - if we keep on thinking that they are worthless and treat them as such, that would also be how they would see themselves; and that would be how they would turn out. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Care must start at home. Responsible influencing by parents is the key. Parents should be role models for their kids. Proper education must follow. A friendly environment helps a lot too in molding these kids and turning then into good citizens. Stopping abuse must start within us. Think before we act or react. Impulsive reactions are mostly negative.
