Cagsawa ruins

alex_H, Here it is. This was a church buried in 1814 during the worst eruption of the Mayon Volcano ever. Today, what we can only see is the bell tower. History says that many people died here during that fateful eruption, since villagers thought it was safe to take refuge in this church. Unforunately, they were wrong.

i'm been thinking of visiting Bicol to check out the beautiful Mayon Volcano but then time is not allowing me too because of my work. I think the Cagsawa ruins is already a part of the Mayon scenic view. My grandfather is from Polangui but never got the chnace to go to his hometown since he migrated up north. but i'm still looking forward to visit Bicol. :)
