Limewire

Up until just recently, I have had no problems with limewire. All of a sudden, I can't connect or if I am lucky to even get a connection, it takes forever and a day to connect. I even uninstalled the free version and installed the pro version, but nothing has changed. I would like to know if anybody else, who is using limewire is having the same problem and know a solution to fix it or if you have a better file sharing program that you would like to recommend to me. Thanks
