Without disrespecting Will Smith or Brendon Frazier, I must say the year 2008 belongs to THE DARK KNIGHT, The Joker (Heath Ledger) and The Batman (Christian Bale). What a final performance by Heath Ledger, hats off to him...

Will Smith did have a good year with movies like "I Am Legend" and "Hancock" coming out only months apart from one another. Brandon Frasier had a good year too with "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "The Mummy" both hitting theaters within mere months of each other. The difference for me is that when Will Smith does a movie, I want to go see it...when it's Brandon Frasier, I could really care less. I know Frasier has had a lot of success and that's great for him, but he is seems like such an "airhead" most of the time that I have a hard time taking any of his characters seriously, despite the fact that I am sure he is a really talented guy. I did like a few of his movies and, in fairness, I have gone out to see him in a few flicks...like the original "Mummy" when it came out. Still, when Will Smith does a movie, I am almost guaranteed to be there while still in first run theaters.
