Rammstein is better qualified as NDH (Neu Deutsche Haerte), that mix heavy metal and industrial music.

Well the actual genre of Rammstein is NDH, which stands fro Neue Deutsche Haerte, meaning "The new german hardness". I consider them Heavy/Industrial metal

I must say that i don`t know other band that is alike them. They sound very original , and it`s hard to define their style, they are a combination of very much types, but i think that the type that defines best their genre is industrial metal, in my opinion.

Well, Rammstein is best described as industrial metal. There are some traces of NDH as someone said but if you are familiar with more NDH, there's not much alike between Rammstein and those bands then. And what, new metal? You can be only taking the piss...

I would say it's heavy metal, but you have thousands and thousands of metal-like genres... o.O
