Is there a likelyhood of a drop in the surveys offered because of slowdown?

With it being very evident that the world is now facing a slowdown would this mean that there would be less of funds available with the companies for research and less of survey opportunities for us. Or could it be that more of companies would be after less of money so they would be doing more to research to know what the coustomer wants and change their products and promotions accordingly.

I feel that companies cannot move ahead without going for research. A company cannot launch a new product without doing extensive research. Once the product is ready, survey becomes necessary to check its acceptability in the market. I think slowdown will not have much effect either on research activities or surveys.
