something is going behind you

When for the first time i joined my office,i found supportive atmosphere.Everyday i used to do my job professionally,no complain,treat everyone with respect as a professional.As day pass away i feel relaxed in my office but unware of the politics that is building up behind me.Oneday i came to know about this and that hurt me a lot,from that day i become very conservative hardly talk with anyone.Day by day that matter make me very frustrated,anger,sleeplessness.Atlast i decided to give resignation letter to my boss,i went to talk directly with our director and give him resignation letter.He ask me reason,i told him everything then he didn't accept my letter.Later he took strict actions.Is it happen with you also?
