summer has long been gone but the Havaianas rage in our place still hasn't subside. let's face it. flip flops are very flexible and easy on the feet. many young people have made it their goal to own at least a pair so as not to be left behind by the latest trend. i even have a friend who was not a fan of expensive stuff before but is now obssessed in owning at least one pair. i find this unhealthy, but it's ok, i guess, for those who can afford it. we each have our own fondness for certain things anyway. how about you? are you fond of Havaianas, too? how many pairs have you got?

Hmmm...just checked out the website with them. They look just like the flip flops I can get for 5 US dollars anywhere else. Don't see the point in spending 22 US dollars on them. Are they even more expensive where you are? That would be awful to pay even more for a basic flip flop, which is about the cheapest shoes you can buy in the US.

here in the Philippines a plain design can cost you about $16. the high designs cost about $24, i guess. they're pretty durable and doesn't wear out easiy. they say the prints on them don't fade easily. mine's a litle worn and faded. what i've noticed about these slippers is that they don't lose their original shapes when they're wearing thin. have you noticed about other rubber slippers how they would stretch when the rubber is slowly thinning out? i say they're worth the price you're paying if you're really into durable flip flops. the price is a little outrageous but considering how other branded stuff are selling in the market, i think it's how the way things are. besides, i haven't found anything in the market that's as dependable as Havaianas in terms of rubber slippers.

Do they last years? The ones I buy for cheap do. In the navy we are required to have flip flops, or shower shoes as they call them, for use in the showers so you don't end up with athlete's foot. Mine lasted for my whole time in the navy(8 years). I've never had a problem with flip flops only lasting a little while. I do like some of the prints they have on Havanians though. Maybe if my husband gets in the navy and we are making a bit more money, I'll think about getting a pair.

I am "havaianatic" meaning addict for havaianas flip flops..It is actually the thing that i chose to collect..Right now I do have 6 pairs and I still want to buy more, its just that i dont like the designs left in the stores right now..By November 24 they will be launching new designs and Im sure to be there to be there..No regrets at all though pricey compared with other ordinary flip flops..the most expensive pair I saw was 5,000 pesos($102 USD)This design has swarovski stones on its strap, but because its too expensive, I cannot afford it..With that amount i can already buy 6 pairs of ordinary designs..aww..
