well, me i never experienced being overdressed, but i had experience being pulled by a friend to a debut party and they were all wearing gowns or something formal, while it just happen that im just wearing an ordinary jeans and t-shirt...i was really forced by a friend, but then i joined the party and even have the special participation in that party, since the girl celebrating her birthday was also our classmate...it was really annoying, being the only person wearing jeans and a shirt on a big event and even to a well known hotel...thanks God, im confident enough to be in there although im a lil' bit shy of my attire...but i managed to enjoy the party and didn't get any concious looks from other people...and it's better to be in that way than being underdressed...lol how bout you, care to share some? happy mylotting!

I always say it is better to be overdressed then underdressed at least for a guy. If I get to a party and realize I am over dressed I could always lose my tie or jacket or something to lesses the look but if I was underdressed unless I brought more things with me I would still be underdressed. I always try and ask about a certain party or event and plan ahead exactly what I am going to wear so i am never to dressed or not dressed enough.

I agree sharie that it is FAR better to be over-dressed than under-dressed! I personally would have no issues at all if I walked into an event and was dressed more formally than anyone else. If people started to get funny about it or questioned it I could always say that I had just come from another event or something anyway!

I will prefer to be overdressed rather than underdressed.. lol =D BEcause if i'm over-dressed, i can do something to fit in the occasion especially when they started having fun or party around ^_^ BUt if i'm under-dressed, there's no way for me to dress up like them and most of the time, ple whom really dressed-up, won't be into of so much fun, so i will rather leave the party and letting ple talk about my attire ^_^ I admire your courage for your attitude ^_^
