Watching all the people go by

Hello, Just wondering how many of you remember the song "Standing On The Corner Watching All The Girls Go By"? Well, how many of you ever sat on a bench at the mall and watch people go by you? It's amazing what you see and hear. It makes you wonder about people. Why they wear what they wear, or do the things they do, or wonder what "What was that?" I can sit for some time just watching people, their mannerisms, looks, actions and get entertained as well. Have anyone of you ever done this at the mall or park, or on a subway?

I love to sit and watch what i say "watch the world go by" you see some very funny things sometimes, I used to think I would love to be able to sketch peoples faces and sit in the shopping centre and do sketches for people just for fun...I think it is a part of taking the time to smell the roses...

dear lilaclady, Thank you for your response. I wish I could do that. All I can draw is scenery, design rooms/clothes. I never was able to do sketches of people and faces. My son is very good at that, and sells them to his clients. It is amazing what you see go by you. And you are right at times some are very funny and there are some that are heart breaking. Thanks. Put some of your sketches on mylot. Would love to see them.

Hi! I like people-watching. Whenever I get tired of strolling around the mall or at the park, I would sit and watch people. It's very entertaining and a learning experience as well. It's fun watching what people are doing, talking about, wearing, or just their habits. I wonder if I would be on the other side of the spectrum and I am the one being watched. When I started thinking about this to myself, I people-watched more discreetly. Well, just because people may not like being watched.
