If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural cause.

No, I didn't know that. Where did you learn about that? Now, everytime I see a statue with someone riding a horse I'll take more notice of it. Thanks!

i had absolutely no idea that the statues had any meaning other than a man on a horse! thank you for putting this on here. you can never know too much useless information! you never know, this question could end up on jeopardy one day!
