How would you know if a topic is still a good discussion?

I've seen many good topics here in mylot and I am really enjoying reading and responding in each topic but there are times that I've also seen such offensive posts that lead to other mylotters to argue in a certain posts. It's no longer a good one but others still keep on discussing it instead of avoiding them. I am still quite new here and I'm still wondering is there any criteria that you consider that a certain post is still worth to be discussed?

hmmm...different moods different people...it depends y people r responding to a discussion, either they are finding the topic interesting, or the writer of the discussion is their friend or some write just becoz they go on writing, to earn, me personally, start responding from my mails, that is my friends discussions. That too i try to respond maximum, but if i find the topic, totally out of my interest, then i dont. Like some people write about their pets, dogs and cats, where i dont know what to write, so i dont respond at all.

Some people enjoy the back and forth of a discussion where there is differing opinions. If you don't enjoy that type of discussion (sometimes i do and sometimes i don't) just skip to another one, which is what i do. Oh , you might want to skip politics altogether since those often get heated. ENJOY, Mylot is really a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of people from all over the place.
