That's one of my favorite being an ilongga. Ted's La Paz batchoy restaurant is among the best who cooked that soup partnered with pandesal or puto. I happened not to eat it for months because hubby's BP is a little higher and pork and liver are to be avoided.

hi dong! Whoa! I miss La Paz batchoy... I'm really a big fan especially those from Ted's La Paz Batchoy in Iloilo... I'm so addicted to Batchoy before since I have live on Iloilo during my 1st year college, I just can't help but eat a cup once a day, so delicious... The soup is perfect especially when rainy seasons... I love it with PUTO and BREAD... It is just so great... Ilonggos really have better taste for food... Actually I love eating Ilonggo foods... Take care!

Oh yeah Lapaz Bachoy and Arroz Caldo are really good when it's raining. It's so tasty and warm. :) I can eat 2 servings of this! We used to have a maid at home who made the yummiest lapaz bachoy, but she left so now I just order it from restaurants. Of course, the restaurants don't make a very good version of this dish so I haven't had one for a long time already. :( Anyway, thanks for reminding me about it I'll try to go out and look for this dish.

oh my friend I saw a documentary last night, and define batchoy as a dish made from another dish, it is confusing, for here our batchoy is made out of pork and pork blood with misua, and I have tasted lapaz batchoy (thanks to nissin's cup noodles, OK I know the original is different but at least I somewhat know the taste)

Hi there Dong! I use to eat Lapaz Batchoy when I was studying in Iloilo. Me and my friends are only allowed to go out during weekends since we stay in a dormitory. Every weekend we would always go to the mall, play all day at quantum and eat at ted's lapaz batchoy. It was sooo good. I miss those days.
