i cook fries that are prepacked and sometimes used to do it alone..you can make it taste so good and crunchy at the same time by dipping it in a hot boiling deepfryer, that to me would be the best thing to do because my fries always ends up so tasty and yhummy..

oh..you can always count on the ever dependable cooking pan half full with cooking oil, or any cooking ware you can have in hand..

Well i'm not sure what your talking of, from scratch or from a pre-packaged sort? If it's the latter, then use the directions. I think the best for crunchiness is deep fried, if you don't have a deep fryer you can put them in a frying pan with oil and it will do the same effect, I think even boiling them in oil. Please don't quote me on this though, these are mere suggestions.

i think it is the same case with everyone when they cook it at home. even i have tried manier times but it always comes out a little soft but when when you make french fries with a little masala addition to it then it comes out a little crispy. that is you add a little chilly powder, salt , ginger garlic paste a little and cornflour powder and mix well and then fry, by this the extra taste is added to french fries and also they become a little crispy too. just try if you like.

put a lot of cooking oil in it then cook it in high heat. here in US i bake french fries instead of cooking it in oil. we have 2 choices in cooking french fries here :)
