This is serious business.

I was in the checkout line at Meijer yesterday when the woman in front of me started complaining about something. See, she was buying two bottles of Febreze. One was the "regular" size and one was the "50% free size". The problem was.. the 50% free size cost $14, while the regular one cost $5 (or something like that...) so she thought they should both just cost $5. Well, the cashier called her boss on the big phone and asked about what she should do.. he said she would have to pay the full price. This woman had a cow! Really. She decided not to get either bottle and as she left glared at the cashier, shook her head and said "IGNORANCE IS BLISS!" She was being very rude to the cashier (who did nothing wrong! It's not her fault...) right in front of her young children. I was embarrassed. I hope there never comes a time in my life when Febreze is serious business.

That happens a lot lately . I stand in line and people in line in front of me get angry with the cashier for things they can not control. All you have to do is not get the merchandise if you do not agree with the price. I have never gotten angry with a cashier because something did not cost proper price. I just politley tell them that I did not expect for the particular item to cost that much.

She sure is setting a bad example for her kids. But maybe the real issue wasn't the price of the Febreeze. We don't know what's going on in other peoples' lives. Maybe her husband just left her. Some people lash out at anyone when they're angry ir upset. I guess I like to give rude people the benefit of the doubt, and feel sorry for them because they are not happy people.

Well you are right, it was rude of her to do that to the cashier, (I wonder if this is why my daughter won't apply for cashier??)..Anyways, if I was that woman, I would have sorry, I am not buying this and then move on..Now I don't buy Febreeze, but 14.00 a bottle?????? No wonder I don't buy it..Plus if one was a regular size and the other one had the 50% free, it should have been the same price..And even if the 50% wasn't free and the regular was 5.00, wouldn't that make the bottle 10.00 and not 14.00???

Oh yes. The days of dealing with the public as a cashier! LOL I worked as a cashier at JC Penny's for a few years and the funniest thing I ever had happen to me was a lady shopping for a skirt. She tried on so many that I lost count and when she finally decided on one paricular skirt I kindly escorted her to the register area and as she was checking it out she discovred that it was a plus size skirt. She went nuts! LOL Informing me that it should not have been in the regular sized clothing (note that she had just came from trying it on and it fit fine) and she did not wear plus size clothing and she hurled it at me and stomped out the door. People are funny and sometimes very irritationg. The poor cashier in your story wasn't to blame. She should have thought and told her to file her complaint with Febreze company! LOL
