I have a tree in mine I found at IKEA and it makes the room feel cozy. I want to put flowers in there but think Im gonna use silk flowers and flower garlands to go around the ceiling.

Hi revel, I did keep a potted plant with of greenish leaves in my bedroom years back. Well my bedroom looked really decent and lively as well to have a lovely leafy plant in it. I sprayed water on it twice a day and put a little of fertilizer to it once in a while. It’s quite easy to take care of. Once I found some black ants moving around it. To my amazing, there were hundreds of ants and dirt as well beneath the flower pot when I moved away it. This was really annoying and removed it straight away and put it under the fruit tree in my courtyard. Since then I dislike to keep any houseplant in my bedroom. posting and have a nice day.

oh my, your the second one to have said this. I have had ants this year so I am going to check that out immediately. Our plant is pretty new so it there was a problem I'd like to take care of it Asap. That would be disappointing. I do not spray from trees leaves but Im going to take your advice and do it. I just keep it lightly watered and make sure it gets a lot of light.

I have a money tree in the corner of my bedroom. My mother-in-law had got it as a gift and last winter she said she was leaving it on her porch to die because she didn't want any plants in the house. I told her I would take it to my house for the winter and she insisted that I just keep it so it has been here ever since. I'm going to have to make some arrangements if it keeps growing. It is very tall. LOL I'm still waiting on the money to grow on it!

I think I seen one of those, very thich base kind of twisted like a rope, and the leaves are pointed at the ends? Theres this asian lady in our farmers market who sells some trees and I thought thats what she called it. Says its traditionally believed to be lucky to its owner. Yea, my tree seems to be growing outward not up which kind of gets in the way but thank goodness the pot we bought for it came with wheels on the bottom (it was from IKEA too). I kind of feel bad when I touch its leaves too much because I always felt that plants are sensitive to touch.

No. But, I would like to have the Artificial ones. I think that these are very pretty to have in a bedroom. I do plan to put some in my bedroom when my kids get older that way, I won't have to worry about the vase breaking..

You know I have wanted a tree for my room like For-ever but you can go to some places, like home depot and have to spend 40 dollars for one. So when I bumped into IKEA one day I saw them and said in my mind Im definately coming back here for this. Their prices are so reasonable . I got my tree which reaches the middle of my window for $20.

I used to have a plant in my room but then i started to notice that it had a lot of ants in it and the ants were spreading to my room. So I took it out and put it outside. I did like the way it looked even if I didnt put it there, my mom did it. I think the flower thing sounds like a cool idea

You mean you keep a whole tree in your bedroom? My bedroom does not have direct sunlight, so it is hard for plants to survive. I have a little pot of plant sitting on window sill. At least the leaves reach out to the sunlight outside. The plant is doing well.

I hope to have houseplants in my bedroom once I get it all set up the way I want it. I just moved here and haven't gotten things the way I want them yet. I prefer real plants to the artificial, but I might use some artificial in my kitchen above the cabinets.
