Actually this question should have been posted under the head of health. But then my point in posting under this head is, I some times think how our lives are changing and we too are accepting the change without any much resistance. Previously we used have Doctors who were Cliniciansand physicians, they used to diiagnose a disease just by looking at the signs and getting the history from the Patient and they used to treat the patient physically and emotinally. There used to physicins who used to have an attraction in them , where by a patient walked in for geeting a cure would get so pleased with the behaviour that his half of the ailment would disappear merely just talking with the doctor. Then Praccice used to an art and there used to be a doctor and Patient relationship. But today it is no longer seen. The concept of Family doctor has totally disappeared ! Today doctor diagnose a condition upon getting report from Diagnostic Lab. He hardly bothers to listen to the patience. They have a set of tests to be conducted and after refering the results they are comin to the conclusion and then they refer you to the Specialist.Where again you are subjected o various other tests. I find all these things very irritating, though I agree that Science has got developed and diagnosis has become very specific. But I strogly feel that the Human touch ismissing and the commerce is palying a mojor role today! What do you feel? Your ideas will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I happen to have a wonderful doctor, I can call her anytime and she will be the one returning the call and answering any questions I have. She also spends all the time that is neccessary to evaluate me to be able to send me to the right places to have the correct tests done.
You my friend are talking about doctors having bedside manners which has decreased dramatically because so many lawsuits have been filed accusing doctors of things never done so therefore they are leary on how to help you on an emotional level. They do not want to be sued.

I'm not sure i'd use the word emotional. Doctors i don;t thinka are allowed to be emotional as it tends to come in the way of them making the rights judgments. The healing touch and the desire to heal is what i would say is lacking in many from the medical proffession.
