yep, i have messed up my computer lot of times. but i have got backup luckily. i do create restore points for every three or four weeks. if anything get corrupted i will restore it back again. at first i was lazy doing it, later after messing up few times, i started to take back up. i bought one TB external hard disk and started to store important data and movies in it.

for me, i allotted an 100GB external hard drive to be my back-up disk.. every time i connect it to my laptop, the software "time machine" will do the trick.. it can store the whole content of my computer and save several time lines as well.. for my movie downloads, i recently purchased a WD "My Book" 500GB. it can store all my movies and music downloads..

Yes, I do backup my files and I store them online. I store my images, documents, videos, music, softwares and every file I need. I don't worry about computer crashes or virus attacks since my files are some server far away. In case those bad things happen, I just download it back to my laptop. Its really handy. Plus, the online storage I'm using encrypts all my files so no one knows what my files are, except me.

I regularly backup my whole PC's files, including Windows directory and program files. I use Acronis True image home, it is very useful.
