Should I apply the gesso on the canvas, or prefer to apply the paint sealer or better yet mixed with water and glue or what ???

Well, the question is if you have the canvas stretched on the stretchers. A non-stretched canvas is no good. If you have a stretched canvas already then you just gesso it. But you have to read the directions on the gesso to see if you need to thin it at all. But, the deal with the canvas is if you've already bought one they're usually already pre-gessoed so you don't have to gesso it again. There's no point.

Thanks for letting me know and I learned something about non-stretched and stretched canvas. That is something new to me.

This is how I primed my canvass (stretched and mounted), I spray water on the canvass surface, just a little, then I apply gesso by paint or roller brush two way stroke per area until the entire canvass is coated, you can also use acrylic latex. You can use nay paint medium or your canvas.:-)
