I don't even know what it was called but the first desktop computer I used was an HP that only had a single line LED display. I don't remember what its operating system was called. It used something like a basic language but more intuitive, at least for me, and was very easy to use and program. After that I had various DOS OS's, 2000, ME and now XP. I just came into the lab on my first day of work and immediately was able to help my new colleague to program the HP he was having trouble programing and I had never seen it before. He was quite impressed by that, but as I said it was very intuitive to me. Too bad the more common and widely adopted basic was not so intuitive for me.

I believe that the very first operating system I ever used was Windows 98. In the years since I got my first computer, I've had all of the operating systems except for Windows Me and 2000. I just bought a brand new laptop about a month ago and it has Windows Vista on it. And you know what? In the time that I've had it, I really don't see what's so bad about it that so many people seemed to complain about.
