hello everyone-i was wondering is your household a one income or two income.I think most of the homes today tend to have both husband and wife working.I believe you have to have two incomes just to be able to cover everything-with the cost of living going up all the time and very little wage increases.

Hello,Jackie! Mine is a single income family. In my family I was the lone earnng member and I had to feed other four members,my wife, and three daughters. It was then difficult to manage the day to day affairs with my salary. However I manaaged somehow. Now all the three daughters are married and staying away from us.Now also I am retired and getting pension and it is more than enough for we two.So my experience says in the present world both husband and wife should work for a better living and for a good education of children.thanx.

Hi! I live with my parents, sister and aunt in one house, and the only one without a income is my sister. But I must say, here in Hungary, my parents, and aunt get money from the government monthly, because they're staying abroad and are not able to work. Only with that money already, we could live on 1 month payment, we would be able to live here for 3 months! But I must say with that that Hungary is a very low-price, cheap country! I work at different places online, which is more then enough for me, and my father is retired, and also gets money for that! We're having ofcourse a very good life as well! And I do think we're blessed with that..

We are a one income family. When I moved to my hubby's country he told me that I didn't have to work, unless I wanted to. If he needs me to, then I will. Otherwise, by staying home it gives me the chance to write my book. I was always on a budget so I know how to save when it comes to shopping and things. I am what is known as an "easy keeper". I do some online stuff to make some extra money if I need it. If you live within your means, then two salaries are not necessary. People seem to want houses that they can't afford and other things that they don't really need. It seems people want their own house at younger ages these days. What is wrong with saving up for the deposit and getting the first house when they are in their late 30's? What is the rush? It boils down to whether or not you can afford your lifestyles on one income or does it really need to take two? One of the parents should stay home and raise the kids.
