How is your relationship with your step children?

My relationship with my step children are fine. I can't say great because I barely talk and see them But if I am with them we always have a great time. We sometimes text and shop. When my hubby and I go out for dinner at weekends, we picked them up at their mom's house to have dinner with us. I felt lucky because they're such a great kids and I am glad that they're having fun and good times with their dad and me. What about you? What can you say about your relationship to your step children?

I have been with my stepdaughter's father since she was 16 months old, she is now 11 and we are still not bonded. There are various factors that have pushed our relationship in this direction since day 1. She is literally in my home every-other-day and bcz we don't have a relationship I feel like she's an intruder to my family and my home. It is the worst thing to say, but even worse to feel. I've tried many, many things to change it, but nothing this far has worked. I'm in an "I give" stage. Soon it I'll get a grip and try a new way to bond with her.
