I just want to know about computer hardware. Whether Intel is best or AMD is best. Many told that Intel is best and some told AMD is best. some told that for AMD drivers may not be available. When comparing the speed of Intel and AMD, AMD is speeder, som said. But i dont know. Because AMD is having a peculier technology for speedy operations. What is opinion on this and what technology did AMD is using?

PC speed doesn't depend not only on Processor. It also depends on RAM, Hard disk RPM, Mother Board type and Graphics card. If you compare same speed processor in AMD and Intel, they must mork at same performance. But compared with Intel, for same speed processor AMD is cheap. When you want a high performance processor, you can go for AMD which is not required for day to day operations for a ordinary man. If you were using any multimedia, then only you need those high speed and high performance Processor which cost more and more. Many of the AMD processors use multicore technology and the same range also avialble in Intel too. AMD processors release more heat and Intel trying to reduce heat generation. For normal operations, best processor is dual core processor.

For speed I doubt that AMD can beat Intel's Duo Centrino!Trust me I have one and it performs faster than the one I'm using right now !

Why i am started this discussion because i am planned to buy a system. Many told that AMD is faster. Because AMD is using a special technology. But i dont the technology used. In benchmarking I think AMD is ranked first i think, but i am not sure about the result

Purchase whichever you prefer, but I'm sticking with my Centrino because it's never let me down! It performs as fast with a virus as it does without!

Go to Cnet and look up Centrino Duo vs Turion 64 (AMD)

AMD is the best competitor of INTEL. Now a days AMD is producing best and fastest processor for cheap market price. I wonder why people is still stuck with INTEL. AMD is providing more inbuilt graphics memory than INTEL. Also motherboard rate is also cheap. I recommend AMD for all.

I work with intel and AMD PC/laptop and i dont't find it really diferent using XP. Nevertheless my AMD PC has now Windows VISTA and it is really slow. Probably memory problem more than the processor. Although it uses the AMD 64 bit processor and I just got the 32 bit version for Vista. I would like ask someone if there is a diference in using AMD 64 with Vista 64? Or if intel chips run better on Vista?

I presently use AMD and so I'm obviously going to say that I think that this is best! I have had no problems to date. However, I think that Intel are very good also! I'm not contradicting myself, I just think that both products have their weaknesses as well as strengths. Andrew
