What is your own interpretation of the saying" No man is an island"? For me it means man can not live alone. He needs someone to talk to, to share his ideas, to take care, to love, to help him out in time of needs. How about you?

I agree with your interpretation. Also to me it means that everybody needs somebody. No matter how much money and things that you have, you can't live in this world alone. We were created with the need for companionship. Whether it be as a mother, sibling, child, etc. Our lives are built on relationships of some sort.

You got it right. Man is a social being. Therefore, each one needs another human being to survive. It may be in a person of a wife, a friend, a child, or probably an enemy. Life is not as colorful as it is without a companion. Happy mylotting!

I agree with your interpretation. It also means people cannot survive alone. Once I'm kind a person who difficult to ask help from other people,a nd I don't care how hard it is, I will do it alone, now I know it's totally not a right thing to do. As human, we need other people helps and I try to ask other people help but not to the extent that I will give trouble to that person. If I can, I would still prefer to do it myself.

I have experienced it too. Before I really didn't mingle with our neighbors. It's because I didn't like them back biting, gossiping other people. I didn't care about them and I didn't want to be disturbed by them. But something happened, a guy who planned to robbed us was prevented because one of my neighbors saw him and he asked the help of our other neighbors. So that from that time I really treasured my neighbors. And without them too life is boring...( without their gossips)lol.

"No man is an Island". Meaning that man needs someone for his survival. He needs someone to communicate, exchanged ideas, exchange goods and foods, companionship, for reproduction of his offspring in order to continue his generations. happy posting.

I agree with you. Man really needs someone for him to be happy. Just as the Lord made Eve for Adam because he realized that the latter wasn't happy at all amidst all the abundant things He has provided him. In our own time, we can't live alone. We need somebody to talk and share our ideas and whatever we have.
