I'm satisfied with the pairing in the book. It would have been too obvious for Harry and Hermoine to end up together and then Ron would have always been the 3rd wheel. Harry with Ginny means that Harry finally has a real family to belong to and they can all be together.
I'm not sure that I'm going to like the pairing in the movie. So far, the actress who plays Ginny hasn't had enough of a part to show me that she can carry this off. I don't know if that was on purpose or just they had to cut all her stuff to make the movie. Number 6 will really be the test as her character becomes much more integral to the plot. Hopefully they will do a good job with it.

Hmmm, Luna and Potter. Now that could have worked too. I'll have to think about that. On the one hand, she is kind of strange and I'm not sure he could really get into all the stuff she does. Then again, they did kind of make a connection there. They understood each other.

At first I love harry and hermione together but then after reading the 6th book The Half Blood Prince, I started liking harry and ginny...so yeah i'm quite satisfied with the pairing.
