Which washing machine is better - front loading or top loading?

I've always used a top loader and that's what I'm used. I think I've used a front loader a couple of times at the laundrymat but I didn't care for them much. [b]~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**[/b]

I used both type before. My opinion is the front loading washing machine is better. I do not know why but it can wash the clothes cleaner. Also, the clothes last longer if you are using front loading washing machine compare to top loading. However, front loading washing machine is normally more expensive compare to the top loading.

Hi there! Top loading for me, because if the washing machine has a front loading, it's painful for the back and I have to bend over to load and then unload the laundry. At least top loading washing machine allows us to stand without hurting our back. ;)

Mine is top laoding, I have never tried a front loading one before so I can't comment on them. I can tell you that I am satisfied with the one I have now. It is about 7 years old and still works just as good as when I first got it.
