I love to eat both of them.. I eat them as my dessert, sometimes I eat them as my snack.. It is made from Bulacan.. It is made from fresh carabao milk.. It can be made just milk, and sugar.. Pastillas is a milk-based pastry, in which case,it is called pastillas de leche.. If it is a mixture of milk and sugar, and some another ingredients like ube, it is called pastillas de ube.. Yema is also made in Bulacan.. Yema is another favorite for those who have a sweet tooth.. Bulacan is the home of this tasty and sweet candy.. It is made with milk and egg yolk.. What about you?? Do you love to eat pastillas or yema??

hey there I also love patillas de leche and I beg to dis agree because it is not only made it Bulacan, it is alos made in my province in Nueva Ejica and if you like to taste some that are made from my province, well you just go to megamall and look for the Kalabaw stall in the basement, near the entrance of the department store and you will taste our pastillas, it so good. I could finish a box of it, as for yema I also like a friend of mine made a yema out of fruit cocktail and it is so good, not a typical yema.

They both appeal to my appetite, and won't mind eating either one BUT if I had to choose one only, will choose Yema! Yummy!

I actually love both of them. They're both very sweet but if I have to choose, that would be a very tough decision. Hmm... I'd probably go for Yema as I live the crunchy texture of it and the sweetness inside. Plus, I always love to play with the cellophane. The only thing I don't like about Yema is that sometimes, there are a few which doesn't taste as sweet as the other. Maybe the way they're mixing it? As for pastillas, its taste is pretty much constant whoever made it. It's still sweet but it does taste bland at time but it's very rarely. But again, both are excellent sweet desserts just take care that we don't eat too much. Take care!

I like them both. When I was a kid I always ask my grandmother to bring me pastillas and yema everytime she would come to visit us. I like the ube (yam) and langka (jackfruit) of pastillas flavor. I don't like the other flavor as it is only has a plain milk flavor. I like yema with peanuts or with langka in it. I like the crunchy outside but creamy inside. Hava a nice day..

I love them both. I didn't know yema has egg yolk in it. I thought it only has peanuts, milk and sugar. Anyway, I happen to know a place where the best pastillas from buffalo's milk is made. It's in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Actually it already spread in the whole province because of a government-initiated programme on village-based dairy buffalo co-operatives. Pastillas de leche is one of their processed products.

although, i have to admit that i love both of them, i would prefer pastillas over yema. yema is commonly like candy, a crunchy (hard.. i suppose) and my mom makes it sweeter so, i've outgrown to super sweet part... for pastillas, i like those which i bought from Laguna... yum-yum! :)
