Some businesses now say that no one can smoke cigarettes any of thier offices. Some governments have banned smoking in all public places. Give reason.

I don't think that this law is fair. If these businesses own their own property or are leasing it and it says nothing about smoking in the contract than it should be up to the businesses to decide. I don't think it's fair to limit someones freedom of what they can do on there own property as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

I am a smoker, I have no problems with a company saying that you cant smoke on there property. its the choice of the company, but if I am smoking on the street and your a nonsmoker dont walkup to me and give me a hard time. I stand off to the side and out of traffic but if you invade my personal space to give me crap I will not be nice about it. /rant Now my rant is over.... I respect nonsmokers rights to not having to putup with my smoke but its nice to have a area so I dont have to worry I am going to offend someone.

it's all up to the owner of any business if they will also ban smoking in their premises. if they render service to the public then it falls to the jurisdiction of a public places and could be part of the non smoking zone. A smoking area should be provided in any places in fairness for us who smokes.
