I am from India. I can read four local Languages apart from English.I can read my mother tongue Telugu which is a south Indian dravidian Language.I can read Hindi as it is our national language. Marathi is the language of Maharastra state, and since I spend most of my time during my earlier life I am very convenient with this language.Bengali is an Aryan language spoken in Bengal and since my wife is from that state I can read this language also.I am trying desperately to learn Urdu but because of my age , my retentive power is not so strong as it used to be before and more over today it is really not possible for me to spare a lot of time to learn a new language as it requires lot of dedication and hard work together with time! Well, now mai I know how many languages can you read ? Please reply! Thanks!

I can only read and speak English, in school I did German and French language classes and was in the highest sets. But after a while I lost interest and subsequently any knowledge of those languages. One day I would like to learn something like Chinese, but I suspect this is no easy task.

I read English, my native language, and elementary German, though I am trying very hard to improve it. I used to know some French, but due to very poor High School curriculum, and very few opportunities to practice it, it didn't stick very long. I got much better teaching when I began German in college. I took 2 years, but I can't take the 3rd year because I don't have room for the credits if I want to graduate on time, so now I am just trying to read German children's books to keep up my vocabulary and trying to find time to chat with German speaking people whenever I can.

Hey akrao.... That looks to me interesting.. Knowing 4 languages is commendable.. I am well proficient in reading 3 languages - "English" which is become the global language for communication and provides a common platform for discussion, "Hindi" which is our national language and "Bengali" which is my mother toungue....Well, another language which i am interested in learning is "Punjabi", and i have learnt some words of it and still aiming to learn more... Happy myLotting!!!!

I can speak 3 and read 4. English, which is my native language, French, Spanish, and Italian. I can speak the first 3, but not Italian yet. I would like to learn Gaelic next. Languages are easy for me, unlike math!
