What is the differences between billiards and pool?

Billiards and pool are definitely different ^_^ Though both are being played with a cue like what u mentioned, but the rules for both games are entirely different ^_^ There are many ways to play pool, such as playing by number, or colors and stripe balls.. If one were to play by number, they will be playing with 9 balls only, instead of the usual 15 ^_^ As for billiard, the table is much bigger, and thus we are allowed to use a 'stand' to help if we cant reach the ball ^_^ Billiard has got only 1 way of playing, which is to hit the red into the pocket, b4 we are allowed to hit any ohter color balls for extra points.. After which, we have to take out the color balls, put it back in the original position, and hit the red again ^_^ this will continue till all the red all in the pockets b4 we are hit the color balls without having to take it out again ^_^ OF course, there's a sequence for the color balls as well ^_^ haha

I have always thought that pool and billiard are the same thing and I have always heard people say they are the same,because it seems that they are both played the same way with the same type of cue stick and the same number of balls,but I could be wrong,but I do love playing pool,and it is a lot of fun,and it is a good way to relax after a stressful day,and it is sometimes fun to watch professionals play pool on television.

The table size is bigger in billiards. The ball sizes are smaller. Billiards is played with 3 balls. The rules of the game are also very different.
