Play for achievements or Just for fun?

Since the idea of achievement system, a lot of players try to look superior and play for achievement points. Some bad gamers even cheat for it.As a general/hardcore gamer, how do you enjoy the games? Do you try to get all achievements in every game or simply ignore it? I was once concerning on getting the achievements points but later I discovered that having fun is the most important thing, especially you do not have a lot of time playing games. So I would not stick with the same game for a long time just because of the points, but only for fun. What about you?

I really like the sound when it pops up. I bought the arcade xbox system and was trying to get all achievements for Boom Boom rocket but the hard mode is really difficult. Oh well. Not worth it sometimes! The first game I bought was Bioshock and after 5 tries I got 50/50 achievements. I wish I had fast internet to get onto xbox live because you can get cool things for your game on there. Therefore I mostly ignore the online achievements. I really like the xbox 360. YAY!!!

The achievements are just there so you can enjoy a game over and over its just purely there so you will never get bored of the games on the 360 and i think that one of the advantages the 360 has compared to other consoles about.

I like to play for fun too. Don't get me wrong I am very competitive but I don't care to much for the achievement score. Just like playing.
