I prefer going at supermarket, I can't stand the smell of the market specially the wet market and I can't stand being so close to people from the wet market. i can't imagine myself mingling with them. no don't get me wrong I am not rich, but I have problems with infections and bacteria and contamination, so I don't like being near to people who can have a lot of microorganism to their body,

My wife and I prefer to go to a public market as their products are much affordable there. Based on my experience, the prices of products in the supermarket is 10 or 15% higher than the products in the public market. That's the case in our area.

I go to both places. When I need to purchase non-wet items that's the time when I go to the Supermarket. I guess it's more convenient and more safe for me to buy there. When I'm buying wet items I'd go to the Public Market because it's cheaper and it's much fresher than what you buy in the supermarket.

hmm, as for us, we do our shopping in both markets, we buy the fish and some veggies on the public market, because the fish and other seafoods there are more fresh and cheap, the same way with the vegetables. But for meats, we buy it on the supermarket, because we are assured that the quality were quite good and fresh than the public markets although it is quite expensive. But for convenience, I prefer to buy in the supermarket than the public markets.

My mom usually buy all our basic commodities like vegetables, fruits, meats, fish and some seasonings in public market. She said the price there are much cheaper compare to supermarket. But when it comes to the grocery items she will go to super market to buy those things. What's good in super market is that it's more convenient to shop there than to public market. But the price are a little higher than public market.

Well, i prefer to buy at the supermaket because it is more convenient for me... because i do not have a vehicle to take me to the public market... aside for that... i do not like it there because it tend to be very very crowded... and one has to go there very early in the morning because most of the stores are already close late in the morning...

Our home is very near the malls of the city, so I get to buy foods and groceries in their supermarkets, specially when I don't have enough time to go to the public market which is two rides from home. I could go to the public market if I have time and if I need to buy something not found in the supermarket. Have a nice day dong!

As I've mentioned in my reply to your other post, I do the shopping at the supermarket. It's more convenient to shop at the Supermarket because you don't have to go through the wet floor, the noisy surrounding, the smelly place and all other inconveniences.. Yes sometimes, there are items which prices are higher but there are also those which prices are almost the same and sometimes even cheaper and you can always be sure that you are not cheated with the weight of the items. In public market, there some cheaters around.

Well that depends on the commodities or items that we need. When it comes to fresh food such as meat veggies and fish I go to the market when it comes to tootpaste tin can goods and other basic necesseties I prefer to go the supermarket.

Hi dong! Back there in the Philippines we got our vegetables and meat or fish in a public market, but we get our groceries in supermarket. But here in Egypt we always get our stuffs in supermarket, I've never been in a public market here, haven't seen one to be honest. Have a nice day.

Hi there. Where we do our marketing actually depends on how much cash I have as of the moment. Though, arguably, prices of commodities are much lowed in public market, supermarkets actually give us the option of deferring payment for purchased groceries through the use of credit cards. So, if I have cash, we usually go to the public market but when we run out of stocks way before payday, the supermarket is the place to go.
