What is the best place you have visited in the Philippines?

I grew up in Laguna, which has so many beautiful spots. I will always consider the area in and around my alma mater, UP Los Banos, as one of the best places I've ever lived in. Still, when it comes to the most beautiful place on my list, it will have to be the tiny islands of Puerto Galera. Whenever my family and I go there, or I take a break and visit with my friends, I always experience the joy and much needed relaxation that I feel I could only sense in those places -- especially while snorkeling underwater and simply being with the colorful fishes and beautiful corals.

I've been a lot of place in the Philippines because of my work, i've seen Mt Apo, when i was assigned in Mindanao, Magellan Cross in Cebu, Mt Mayon when i was assigned in Legaspi Albay. But i like most is when i step on San Juanico Bridge when i was assigned in Tacloban. Its a good experience because i only see it in pictures when i was in grade school but when i stepped on it, what a experience.

I always have this affinity to the Ilocos province. I don't know. Whenever I visit Ilocos, I feel like I'm in another space in time (back to the Spanish era..heheh, probably because of the old Spanish-styled houses and churches). Ilokanos are very nice and friendly people. And the atmosphere in that province is really fascinatingly different.

I have visited a lot of places in Pinas but I still felt like a tourist to my home country. From all the places I have visited...I fell in love with beautiful Bohol. I loved the peace and beauty of the beach there. Boracay is nothing!
