thank you everyone for worrying about me, you guys really touched my heart. I got a call from william, I didn't catch his user name though, he left a message telling steph and Sally, were worried about me. And I got an email from gaby, the trouble is, I don't have money to return phone calls, and I had a major computer crash, I lost my hard drive, and everything in the computer, that is writing, stuff from my newsletter, stuff for ac, email addresses etc. I was completely without any way of communicating since saturday. I am just almost back up, I got a second hand second hand second hand hard drive for now, just to be operating again, but there is still a problem with word program, no way of doing my writing. Also I lost everyone's email address, so guys and gals that have it, please email me so I can get them back again, thank you all for worrying about me, boy this has been a stressful weekend, for me, so much was happening, the city inspector also came by because the building was infested with fleas, but good news is the neighbours still have them but I don't anymore, thank god for that. I am waiting on the appeal decision, I need to know if I am going to have my disability back, otherwise I have to move because I will not be able to afford the rent. I am trying to take everything in stride and be positive and just let it go, so people tell what has been happening with you guys?

I have my hours back at work, so am having a challenging time trying to do everything in a day. I'm working every hour that I can as realize my hours can disappear without any notice. Hope you get your disability back.

it certainly is stressful to have your hours cut back when you really need the money.

Welcome back winterose. Computer problems are a big pain in the rear end for sure. That is wonderful about the fleas since I can remember when you were having a horrible time with them. I am sorry to hear that you are still waiting to find out about the disability appeal decision. Nothing much happening with me. Been having some gall bladder problems but much better now and got my flu shot today and so far so good on that. The man that give me the shot did sooooo good, I never did feel the needle and I guess I had my arm relaxed so much it isn't even sore, at least not yet. Again, it is good to hear from you again.

You sound very upbeat tonight, in spite of everything that has gone on and has happened to you. How did you finally get rid of the fleas, by the way? I am glad you are taking everything in stride, because otherwise it could just about kill you. I hope you can get back up to full speed soon.

no use crying about my life, it is what it is, and I have to make the best of it. I bought some stuff called synergy which was borac acid, and after treating for a month it got rid of all the fleas, then the landlord sent the exterminator and now they are completely gone

I was wondering where you'd gotten to. I'm glad you're back. Nothing much at this end except that WALKER IS COMING TO CANADA next month!!! Can't wait. He'll be here for christmas, and it'll be lots of fun. The wedding ceremony was great, and there are some pictures on my Gather page, if you want to see them.

It's wonderful to see you're back, and that you're okay. I know how frustrating being offline can be, as I was off for around six weeks in the summer. My hard drive went too, among other computer woes. I'm sorry to hear that you lost all of that work though. That's great about the fleas being gone finally. I remember how hard they are to get rid of, from many years ago. I do so hope that they reinstate your disability, so you can stay where you're living now, etc. As for me, like you, I struggle with several health issues. At the moment, I'm on meds for a bladder infection, along with my usual difficulties. It's not easy as you know, but I manage to keep on plugging along. All of the wonderful friends 'here,' are such a source of comfort. There are some big changes in the wind for me here next year, as my daughter chooses which university to attend. Depending on her decision, I may have to move, which will be a huge change for me too. Take care. Hugs.

I am definitely not the moving kind, not for the last thirty one or so years. Nine in one house here, and twenty three so far at this one. It is going to end up falling down around my ears.

I don;t know about you but I really hate moving, I lived the first 18 years of my life in the same house, then I lived 23 years in another one, I just am not the moving type. If you do have to move I hope you get a place that you really like.

Thanks winterose. I really hate even the thought of moving. We've been in this house for fourteen years this summer. When I think of home, this is it. I agree with you GardenGerty. There was a time in my life (since childhood), when I had to move almost every year, for one reason or another. I hated it, and now am just so settled that I can't begin to think of where I'd find a place I like.

Hello winterose, I am very sorry to hear about what you are going through. My heart goes out to you and I am sad that I can't help you in more concrete terms. Here's what I will do... I will light a candle for you... here http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/message.cfm?l=eng&cid=6892837 I hope you will continue to get your disability check and so you would not need to move. I hope you will also get a new working computer or at least, this secondhand one will work very well for you for a long, long time. God bless.

owh i'm so sorry to hear that...i wish if there is anything i can do to help! but yeah, as you have said in the last line of the message that, staying positive is the best factor to manage although, it might not be easy to accomplish.. but at least give it a try... life is full of unexpected surprises...but we should try to act positively and try to never give up no matter how hard the situation is...as such difficulties will move away sooner or later... Smiley,

I haven't been responding to discussions like I have been or I would have noticed your absence from Mylot. Glad to hear that you have gotten rid of the flea problem, I know that has been driving you insane, especially your cat. Maybe the inspector will have your landlord fixing the problem at hand which is under your building in the basement. Your in my thoughts and prayers with the appeal decision. If everything else fails, hopefully your boyfriend and his mother will let you and your son move in with them just until you can find a place of your own. Well, your problems would stress me out, we discovered some person from California, my husband's home state, that he loves and brags about all the time, stole his social security number and ran up a 500 dollar cable bill. We had to put fraud protection on our credit report, file a report with the Federal Trade Commision and getting new bank cards. We also have to file a police report, just so we have it on file, and send a copy of it to the cable place to show them that this person isn't my husband. What really got me upset, we got mail today with this person's name with our address on it. I can't open it to call these people, because the mail isn't ours to open. Hopefully, this person will be caught soon, so we can go on with our lives. Monday, I'm going to call my insurance company because we have fraud protection with them, to see what can be done on that end. This will be the first time we have to file a police report, because this is the first time this has ever happened to us. What really bites, if we ever do plan on getting a 2nd vechicle for us, I have to call to have the block removed just so we can get our credit checked, and then put back on once it's done. Ugh, and he swears up and down his state is so perfect. I have to call my mom tomorrow to see how my dad's doctor appointment went, he had more skin removed from his face. I'm praying it's not cancerous, this will make the 2nd time my dad has had skin cancer in 2 different spots. He won't be able to wear ball caps anymore, because they don't protect your face. Well, that's about it with what's has been happening to you guys on my end. Things could be a lot worse, but sure wish things were a lot better.

sweetie is absolutely horrible, things should not happen to anyone yet they happen to us. I will say a pray for your dad, and hope you get everything settle with that fraud, send me your home email address if you want to keep in touch on a regular basis.

I also wanted to add that to get a little extra cash, I have found a survey site that pays, not a lot but enough for extra things. I have cashed out at 8.00 just to see if they would pay me. I got my check with no problems, I currently have 40+ dollars and trying to get to 50 before I cash out again. It's called Opinionoutpost, and I get about 5-6 surveys a week. Some are worth 6 dollars all the way down to 1.00, now I have gotten ones worth more than 6, but never qualified for them. This doesn't hurt to try, it's not a quick get rich plan, but you just have to let it build up. I would get a 1.00 for referring you, but since I don't have your email address. The link is www.opinionoutpost.com. Not all surveys give cash, some are for sweepstakes, but maybe one a month or less than that. This is one survey site I have found that pays, so check it out when you get a chance.

Thank you dear, I don't know how to pm you since Mylot changed it's look, so I'm putting my email address here, it's scsdr18@aol.com. I will be getting a new email address once we get a router, and get it fixed so everyone can be online at the same time. I would have never found out about the fraud, if we didn't get a letter stating that someone took off with a lot of people's information from Countrywide. Luckily that person was caught and will probably go to prison.

I am so sorry to hear of all your troubles. Boy when the problems come, they sure come in bunches, don't they. I had wondered where you were, but I had figured you were writing articles and couldn't lose any time on mylot. Are you going to be able to get your writings back from your computer? I have had a computer crash, and some stuff I lost for good, while others were able to be saved by a friend of mine who is good with computers.
