What will you do in that situation?

Yesterday, i had a dinner with a VIP client.The restaurant is noisy and smoky and i think the food and service are awful. But he is the host and the restaurant is his favourite.
This is my first job~~
How can u handle the situation diplomatically?

Even if you eat before that so you don't have to eat the lousy food, if you have business to talk with them, it will probably be okay. I think you could tolerate it, just try to be polite and try to pretend that you're comfortable, they probably won't catch on. What did you do?

If it is a very important client, I would suck it up and eat the food and push through the smoke and noise. When you are trying to work with someone very important like that even the smallest thing could make a bad impression and you don't want to do that. I would do anything to make the client happy, within certain reason lol.
