Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen who have been on a superb form seems to be rotten & performing below his normal form ever since he join Newcastle from Real Madrid ,August 2005 and perhaps this let him being left out of the squad for WCQ. So it's my opinion that he should leave this dilapidated club to save his career & join some top clubs to be nurture and regain his form.

Dont mind him, he thought we(liverpool) are such a fool that will receive prodigal son. That serves him right, when he was hot he left us for real, and came back begging to join the squad. But what pains me is that, he is not giving martins much chance to showcase himself.

I havent really followed him since he left Real Madrid but that seems to happen a lot. Something about leaving the best team for a bunch of crap makes the players sloppy. Unless your Beckham, in which case nobody is watching your soccer in the states.

Michael Owen has not signed a new contract with Newcastle, so this possibility is very real. However, from all the recent news, Michael Owen seems to be very committed to Newcastle, trying his best to be a good captain and lead his team back to glory. But of course, I feel that his potential has been rather limited in Newcastle, no thanks to all the crisis Newcastle have experiences throughout the years. No doubt, he will look for opportunity to leave Newcastle if this situation continues. I feel that many clubs will be after Michael Owen's signature if this happen. Although I highly doubt the big 4 will take him, many mid-tier will fight for his contract since he should be extremely cheap for a prolific striker. That being said, Michael Owen does have his good days in Newcastle, especially when Keegan employed the 4-3-3 formation. After the draw against Everton, Newcastle seems to have regained their confidence, and it will be interesting to watch their next match against Man City. This will be the last chance for Newcastle to keep Michael Owen.

ya it'll be good if RealM can offer a contract to him, one thing that i didn't understand about Newcastle is that they have so many good players like Tayler, Smith, Geremy,Barton,N Butt,Martin, Viduka.etc,,etc but they still they terribly suffer, i mean they should atleast be at the middle of the table... Thanks !!
