My dog is depressed

In February of this year my husband brought home 2 jack russell terrier puppies. They were sisters and up until 1 week ago they were inseperable. On last week someone stole one of our dogs. The dogs are so friendly named Angelica and Alexis. Alexis was the one that was stolen. She was very active and affectionate. Angelica is active but would kind of shy away from us. Angelica now is becoming even more withdrawn. I try to keep her happy but she cries at night. When we go to work she is at home alone now. My 3 kids are heartbroken that Alexis is gone and even more so now that Angelica is sad. Angelica does like to sleep with my son so that has been helping out. Is there any suggestions out there for me mylotters? I do not know what to do. I do not want Angelica to give up.

If there is a dog park in your area, maybe try taking her there to meet some new friends. Nothing will replace her lost sister, but getting out in the fresh air and playing with other dogs may help to alleviate some of her depression. If there is no dog park, try arranging "play dates" with some of your friends or neighbors who also have small dogs.
