Hair - Length & Color

Being a woman do you prefer long or short hair? What do your family and friends prefer for you? Do you color your hair too? If so what colors have you tried that looked terrible and what colors looked the best?

I prefer medium length to long length hair. My hair when relaxed comes to my shoulders. Since I've become pregnant, I have not used one, and I have so much new growth and my hair is now very coarse and unmanageable. Some days I just wake up, and am like whatever. I'm just ready to get my hair back on track like it was. Some people in my family wear extensions, and I have before too. I don't like to wear them though because I don't need them. I mean, I really need a relaxer. But I've just decided not to take that risk of chemicals during my pregnancy. It's been really hard too. But I know I'm making the right decision. If I had to dye my hair, I would do like a red tint. I think it would look great on me. My husband agrees, and I'm going to go for it after I have my baby. I think my hair can handle being relaxed and dyed when the time arises for those things because it's pretty strong. This is probably kind of long, but I just love my hair, and I want it to be the way it was. And it's just hard because for most African Americans, you have to get a good hair routine down. I mean, it makes life easier. No matter if the hair is relaxed or chemical free.

Yes, that's true. Your hair goes through so many changes when you're pregnant. Just enjoy your pregnancy and relax about your hair. Then when you have the baby, treat yourself to some "me" time and get your hair done the way you want to. You'll feel so much better.
