Do you read the Best Response in all the discussions you visit???

Hi everyone. 
When I am clicking on some discussion and if the user have given best response, then I will just view that first. I always do that.
I also read the post selected as best response in all the discussions that I participate. From that I can identify the quality of my post. I will try to improve my way of writing through that. Do you people have that habit???

its really nice to see that the people give to the post best response , as it is look like different from other posts and attract first also.
i must to the people that give best response that clear the idea about the author and the subject also

Reading the Best Response in a discussion will help us to improve our way of writing. We can just compare our writing with the best responded one and try to improve with it.

i read every response i receive for the discussions initiated by me. and reply to most. generally thanking them for thier participation. some i do reply explaining my position. some responses do not require any kind of reply, so i leave it after reading it. also i make note of all those replies, what reason the respondent gave etc to get an insight of it.

I think you have misunderstood my discussion. I am telling about the discussions started by others. In those discussions I used to read the BR for improving my way of writing. In my own discussion, definitely I have to read all the responses and comment them back.

Thats great. I don't actually do that. I first wanted to give my own opinion. If I read the others, some thoughts will coincide with mine and if I write that I will have a feel that I am writing the same.
So I do write first and then will read the responses. Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

that holds good for all those which scan thru or responded to. once ina while i take a look at other discussion which i do not participate, but still spend some time reding teh replies posted there.

Hi vidhyavini, it’s really a smart and best way to learn to improve and to give good answer to the poster by reading the best response of every discussion that has selected as a BR.
I don’t have much leisure time spending at mylot here daily, so most of the time I don’t read the best response as well as other users’ responses in all the discussions I pick to answer.
I always try my best to read the content of the discussion I wish to answer carefully, so I then would give the right answer and hit the nail on the head.

I believe the majority of the best responses are good and quality posts for us to learn the tactic of making 1st grade answer from the posters. You are doing the right way of learning. I appreciate your positive way of learning and I bet you will learn more and improve tremendously fast by doing so frequently.

Hey thanks a lot. I will definitely improve my way of writing still more. I love to get best responses. Lol. 
Most of my best responses are for helping people in mylot. Lol. Getting best response have any advantages like increase in the rating or earnings???

Even I will feel bored to read all the responses. But I will definitely read the BR. And I have also improved myself. I will not read that before posting my response. When I just select the discussion, I will just give my answer to that first. Then if the user has already selected the BR, I will check out that and compare it with mine. Lol. That helped me improve my writing.

Hi friend,as for me,whenever I find discussion that catches my eye,I respond and if I find that,best response has already been awarded,I always love to read that out first even before responding to that particular discussion..I have also this habit to read almost all the responses,if they are not too many,in most of the discussions.I like to know people's opinion,different thoughts and it is great to find many interesting responses.I guess,this is one of the reason why I miss myLot so much whenever I couldn't come online.Take care and have a great day!

Its good that you give your response first before reading the others. I will also do that. But once after responding I used to read the BR and will compare that with mine and I will improve my way of writing.

to be true and honest i read the content of the discussion and then i give out my response and after giving the tags i post it. after it have been posted i read all the responses that are there in the page along with me. certain discussions have responses running across pages. in those cases i usually do not read them but if the discussion is very interesting and eye catchy... then i read some of the responses. if the best responses is first or the last page then i read it or else i do not.

One line response are really irritating at times. Everyone should give their views in an explained manner. That would give the answers for all the questions that a discussion starter has in his/her mind. Great to see a you being descriptive. ya it is indeed true that the more you read the more you get matured and at the same time you get more ideas and know various aspects of a certain thing. there are many people with varied personalities and with a lot of different ideas. well reading indeed helps a lot. but some it gets irritating to read the one liners that many people enrich this site with. i see that many people advise the newcomers to write more and type more.... give more original content..bla bla bla... but at the same time they load this site with one liners. well thanks for responding back.

That is a useful tip and a good idea that you share with us. I am not in the habit of going through the best response awarded for a discussion I chose to respond.Sometimes I just glance through some responses of others too.I just respond in my natural way and put my thoughts and ideas that flashes my mind at that point of time. I normally chose to present my independent views upright. Thanks.

Ya I am also like you only. I will directly go to respond the discussion and will start writing my views. But once the BR is selected, I will just go and view it. So that I can change myself for that. Lol. Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Hi there vidhyavini!
When I respond to available discussions, I read as many responses possible. That is if I have much time to spare. If I don't, then I just go on and respond to the discussions at hand. If I have time later, I go back to those discussions and read the other responses. It's nice that you have posted this. This can serve as a guide to those who are just starting and would like to learn more about how to come up with better quality discussions and responses. Happy posting!

I don't and i mostly ignore it but is it important? if you are marked as best response what advantage it will give to you as mylot user? or if you start discussion is it an advantage that you give a best response? or that you mark a best response?

Hi sati.
Actually marking or getting Best Response doesn't affect our earning. You will be able to see a star near by my name(You will get it after reaching 100). The number in it shows our rating by other users. If we get best response, then our ratings will increase. Thats all. Its just a pleasure to see that we have given the best response to the discussion starter.
Reading the Best Response, we can identify our mistake and can improve our writing. If we write more then we will earn more. Indirectly it will help us to earn. All the best. Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

You will just get more. In any discussion that you respond, just have the habit of reading the Best Response for that discussion. Try to aim for getting Best Response from others. That will improve the quality of our writing. All the best.
