Did you hear about the link between cosmetics and breast cancer?

Earlier I was reading an article in a local women's weekly magazine. Apparently, they're now saying that only one in ten cases of breast cancer are caused by heredity or genetics. The other cases of breast cancer can be linked directly to the use of man made products and exposure to chemicals including fertilizers, gasoline (fumes) plastics and even cosmetics. The chemicals get inside a woman's body and mimic hormones. These particular hormones increase a woman's risk of developing breast cancer. Have you heard of this? As for me, I'm seriously considering never wearing makeup again! I love my lip gloss, but I'm not ready to sacrifice my life over it. P.S. They said that the US government has been dragging their feet to regulate or restrict these highly profitable, yet harmful chemicals. What do you think about that? Another example of greed at the expense of consumers?

They didn't mention anything but cosmetics made with man made chemicals or synthetics. I was also hoping to find out if mineral makeup was linked, but they didn't mention it. If a makeup were composed of earth based minerals without the harmful synthetic chemicals then I suppose it could be safer.
