Is contentment the real gauge for success?

A lot of people i know told me that they based their success through contentment meaning contentment is the measure of success. According to them you can never be successful unless your contented with what you have at the moment. Because of that i got into this idea that maybe contentment is the gauge of success and they have their point and i agree with them. But ladies and gentleman, do you believe in this?

for me yes--theres really no other way to measure success but contentment. for me success can also be a state of mind--like when you have a family--if you are contented and happy with your family you can say you are a successful family man/woman but what can you say about people who has it all but still feel something is lacking or wants to have more? lets face it some people cant be content even if they have enough money --sad coz they will never be contented
